Rocklea Markets, Brisbane

J E Tipper was a founding wholesaler at the Brisbane Fruit and Vegetable Market when it was relocated to its present Rocklea site in 1964. Although trade is now often conducted via information technology, J E Tipper’s bustling Rocklea Market presence remains the company’s traditional home. Tippers was one of the first wholesalers to install temperature controlled facilities on its trading floors, ensuring maintenance of the cold chain at all stages of distribution.

The Rocklea Markets is Queensland’s central fruit and vegetable market facility. Like other centralised markets around the world, it provides a structured trading environment for all industry sectors, and a national distribution point for Australia’s horticultural producers. J E Tipper’s Rocklea facilities and expert sales and marketing team provide efficient marketing and logistics, high-tech storage and handling, and access to a wide variety of buyers.
